![]() For example, if you give an idol too many assignments without allowing her time to rest, and she exhausts both her physical and mental stamina, she might become depressed, and this could be reflected both in her performance stats taking a drastic hit, along with a little conversation or narrative bit that acknowledges that this is happening. The dialog/narrative portions of the game are told through an interface that should be familiar to visual novel players (and these segments include interactive choice-making in a style that should similarly be familiar to that audience), but it's not a game where the gameplay just consists of clicking through texts the narrative/visual novel parts of the game are mostly stories that are based on the things that you are doing in-game. ![]() The game mainly revolves around managing resources (be it money or the time of talent/staffers), growing your revenue, accumulating fans/followers, and trying to become the biggest idol group in Japan. I'd recommend watching the Kickstarter video if you haven't already, as I think it does a pretty good job of illustrating a lot of the gameplay systems. The fact that the project took off so quickly actually came as a bit of a surprise to us, as a lot of the early backing came from Japanese backers we got written up on several Japanese sites like this one that sort of blew up and sent us quite a bit of traffic on the day we launched. r/games rules actually explicitly allow posting an annoucement when a Kickstarter is fully funded, so I figured I'd include that info in the title of the post. Our goal is pretty low (both compared to other video game Kickstarters and the amount of time we've invested in the project already), but we didn't intentionally set a low goal just to make our stats look better our initial funding goals (and the stretch goals we launched the project with) actually do reflect the cost of completing those elements of the game based on the amount of artwork/assets we need to finish them. Most of the gameplay and a good chunk of the game's assets are already complete (something which we're pretty clear about showing in the gameplay video on KS), so our funding goal doesn't reflect the entire cost of the game's development. The reception over there seemed to be pretty positive, so I thought I'd share the game over here as well. It's not my intention to hide the fact that I'm one of the game's creators earlier this week I posted the game over on /r/visualnovels and in the comments section I had the opportunity to answer a lot of questions that people had about the game. ![]() /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
